It’s been nearly a year that I became a part of ‘Find Your Feet’ and ‘Curry for Change’. It’s a charity that helps rural families in Africa and Asia come out of poverty. I have seen a lot of poverty in around me in Kenya, so naturally I was drawn toward it. My role began by hosting a cook.

I have been part of curry for change for almost a year now. My Vegan Indian cooking class was a great success and half of the proceeds went to Curry for Change. Katy asked me to assist and represent Kenya in ‘An Evening of Flavour,’ serving almost 75 people my Mahamari with raw mango and coconut chutney, which was an instant hit. We raised £4,128 for the charity that evening now I dedicate my time to many of the fund raising events.
